This is the Dolomites Ranch an exclusive luxury vacation experience. Its creation was inspired by an Italian businessman who grew up in Cortina d'Ampezzo, a famous ski resort in the Dolomites in the Northeastern Italian Alps.
Since his childhood he loved everything that represents the American “Wild West,” the spaghetti westerns, cartoons like Tex Willer, cowboy boots, and the music of Ennio Morricone. After 20 years as business consultant in the fashion industry traveling extensively visiting 102 countries, he decided to change his life and live his dream, buying his own piece of the Wild West in Colorado.
Wilderness, horses, infinite spaces, fantastic mountains, vivid colors, peace, and a wonderful climate, all drew him to Wild Horse Mesa, a desert mountain plateau in the San Luis Valley in Southeastern Colorado.
Drawing on his experiences travelling, Federico envisioned a private, luxurious experience set right in the Colorado wilderness. At the Ranch, he built a swiss style chalet with four different kinds of wood: pine, aspen, blue stain, and douglas fir. He named it Cristallo, which is one of his favorite mountains in the Dolomites for extreme skiing, another passion of his. In keeping with his vision, Dolomites Ranch offers spectacular views, warm days, fresh nights, spectacular dining, private relaxing, and a warm welcoming atmosphere to satisfy even the most delicate of palates.
